John Bodger and Sons, Inc. was founded in California in 1890 and presently operates under the DBA Bodger Seeds, Ltd.  Bodger Seeds, Ltd. “Bodger” is a family owned business in its fifth generation of operation. 

Bodger has a long history of innovative flower breeding.  Our company has won breeding awards both in the United States, through organizations like All-American Selections and Florastar, and internationally in Europe and the Pacific Rim.

Heirloom standards such as Gleam Nasturtium, Crackerjack Marigolds, Zinnia Envy, as well as commercial standards like Wonderland Alyssum, Hawaii Ageratum, Discovery Marigolds, Safari Marigolds, Avalanche Petunias and Sundial Portulaca have brought beauty to gardeners around the world.

Bodger Seeds markets vegetative cuttings under the marketing name of Bodger Botanicals.  Participation by outside breeders in the Bodger Botanicals program is welcomed.  Presently, many of our products are supplied by leading plant breeders from around the world.  Please feel free to contact Bodger with any exciting products you would like us to market for you in the Bodger Botanicals program.

Bodger is headquartered in El Monte, California (greater Los Angeles), with a research station in Lompoc, California.  Our seeds and cuttings come to you from our facility in Chile (Semillas de los Andes) and from other locations around the world.
