When temperatures are cool and light levels are diminished, the water requirement is reduced so let the soil dry completely before another irrigation. 5.5 ? 6.5. pH
Feed Requirements:
150 to 200 PPM Nitrogen with intermittent clear water irrigation to keep salts from building. Fertilize with a low Phosphorus formulation 20-10-20 or 15-5-20.
Light:
High light.
Rust and Alternaria:
Spray with copper-based fungicide to prevent spotting on fans during high humidity.
Pythium:
Drench with root rot preventative fungicide as labeled. Plant in well aerated soil, preferably using well-aged bark as an aggregate, allowing the soil to dry between irrigations.
Comments:
Anigozanthos Kanga will accent any landscape with little care, growing to 2 or 3 feet in height. Kanga?s are durable and sturdy plants tolerant of higher temperatures than existing lines. This new line will also produce more bracts increasing the amount of color per plant. The Kanga series has three colors for this year.
